- 動物是多細胞真核生命體中的一大類群,稱之為動物界。動物身體的基本形態會在牠們發育時變得固定,通常是在其胚胎發育時,但也有動物會在其生命中有變態的過程。絕大多數動物是能動的-牠們能自發且獨立地移動。絕大多數動物是消費者(生物)-牠們依賴其他生命體(如植物或其它生物)作為其營養來源。
