- 法律(英语:Law) 是一種由規則組成的體系,經由社會組織來施與強制力量,規範個人行為。法律是一系列的規則,通常需要經由一套制度來落實。 但在不同的地方,法律體系會以不同的方式來闡述人們的法律權利與義務。其中一種區分的方式便是分為歐陸法系和英美法系兩種。
- 學者們從許多不同的角度來研究法律,包括從法制史和哲學,或從如經濟學與社會學等社會科學的方面來探討。法律的研究來自於對何為平等、公正和正義等問題的訊問,這並不都總是簡單的。
- 在一個典型的三權分立國家中,創造和解釋法律的核心機構為政府的三大部門:公正不倚的司法、民主的立法和負責的行政。而官僚、軍事和警力則是執行法律,並且讓法律為人民服務時相當重要的部分。
