- 术语学是指通过在语境（上下文）之中对某个或多个主题范围或人类活动领域之内特有概念的标记或命名加以系统研究和分析，从而记载和促进这些概念和术语正确用法的一门学科。
- 术语学的创立为限定在一个确定领域范围内的概念提供了专属名称。
- 术语学要遵循一下四点原则：
- 1 简练：针对一个领域，我们应控制过多专有名词的出现，过多的专有名词反而会有损整体术语意思的清晰度。
- 2 领域：针对每一个领域，都有相关的术语
- 3 一致：同一个领域中，术语与术语之间存在着清晰而统一的逻辑层次
- 4 明确：每个术语都要所指明确，通过一个术语我们可以直接理解到它所指的意思
- 词和术语不同，词来自于我们日常生活的语言，而术语来自于一个特定领域中的语言；词的应用领悟比较随意，一个词可以应用很多地方，而术语在其被应用以前，我们对于它所对应的概念却一无所知。
