- 距離是一種純量,不具方向。這種量不會是負數。
- 在物理學上,距離是由某些媒介如人、動物和交通工具所經過路線的公里,由起點到終點的向量則是位移。
- 在數學上,距離是定義在向量空間中的一種函數。例如:日常生活中,最常見的距離就是歐幾里德空間中的距離,是2階範數;在圖論 中,距離是兩個頂點之間經過最短路徑的邊的數目;在坐标幾何中,距離是1階範數。
